Accompanying evaluation of labor market integration measures for refugees
The final report presents scientifically based findings on the implementation, utilization and effects of labor market integration measures for refugees. It answers the question of how the instruments of SGB II and SGB III for integration into the training and labor market, including job-related language support, affect the social and labor market integration of refugee migrants, and how personal characteristics and local contextual factors influence the effectiveness of these instruments. The causal analysis of administrative data is complemented by the examination of survey data and a comprehensive implementation analysis. In addition, the cost-effectiveness of the measures is analyzed. Finally, policy recommendations derived from the empirical findings provide impulses for making the measures to support the integration of refugees into society and the labor market even more effective and efficient, thus ensuring the sustainability of the integration measures.
