"Familienatlas 2009 IHK Ulm": inter-municipal child care ranking and family location

Against the background of the expected demographic development and the regional economy’s need for highly qualified employees the municipal child care supply has become a location factor of increasing significance. This aspect holds for any German region.

Thus, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of the Ulm Region engaged the IAW to make an inter-municipal comparison referring to demographic development and child care provision by using a ranking approach and other methods. The IAW analysis is based on data of official statistics and data obtained by an own survey.
