The European Social Fund (ESF) in Baden-Württemberg – “Regional competitiveness and employment“, 2007-2013: Counselling the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs
In cooperation with Johann Daniel Lawaetz-Stiftung (Hamburg) and SÖSTRA (Berlin) the IAW supports the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs in realisation of the European Social Fund (ESF) in Baden-Württemberg for the 2007-2013 period. This means for example:
- Counselling and supporting the Ministry to realise the Operational Programme Baden-Württemberg. The operational programme sets the priorities for ESF intervention and their objectives in Baden-Württemberg.
- Counselling and supporting the regional working parties which are responsible for devising strategies. The diving strategies are geared to the objectives specified in the operational programme and to local socioeconomic needs.
- Counselling and supporting of participating organizations (known as ‘beneficiaries’). A beneficiary designs a project, applies for funding and, if this is granted, implements the project.
