The Impact of Flexicurity at Company Level on Women, Young, and Older Workers
The European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions, Dublin, has commissioned a project to carry out research into the impact of ‘flexicurity’ provisions at company level on employment and working conditions of women, young workers and older workers. ‘Flexicurity’ can be defined as a policy strategy to enhance the flexibility of labour markets, work organisation, and labour relations on the one hand, and employment security and income security on the other. The research is based on 18 company case studies in six EU member states and will be analysed in a report due by autumn 2011. The IAW is responsible for the German case studies, which deal specifically with personnel policies that improve the employability of older workers.
