Evaluation of the EU Community Initiative EQUAL-DP "www.Employment, Network for more Entrepreneurial Spirit in the Neckar-Alb-Region"

Progressing in the second supportive year (2005-2007) of the joint initiative EQUAL, IAW belonged again to the EP-evaluators and accompanied the developmental partnership "www.Employment, Network for more Entrepreneurial Spirit in the Neckar-Alb-Region".=

The key aim of www.Employment was to increase employment opportunities of disadvantaged groups, especially of less skilled persons, as well as to develop new fields in the low-wage sector. A central approach was to support and realize setting ups of new businesses – especially small businesses. The DP www.Employment`s objectives have been implemented within the context of networks through which different regional actors developed a joint strategy. The participating actors cooperated on two levels: on the level of developmental partnership and on the level of seven subprojects. The DP www.Employment has been sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and by the European Social Fund.

The IAW accompanied, supported, and evaluated the processes on the level of the development partnership. The evaluation has been formative, that means it was determined to be process accompanying.
