F.OR.M. Pact: Operational Framework for Multi-level & Multi-actor Synergy towards the Adaptation to Social and Economic Changes
The economic structural change enables on the one hand a creation of new jobs but on the other hand jobs can be lost, mainly in traditional industries in the primary sector as well as in the manufacturing sector. These adaption measures often, but not solely, take place in form of collective redundancies and affect frequently whole regions. The question of a reaction from politics or from industrial relations is as obvious as it is almost unexplored.
The aim of the project is to seek, based on an introductory consideration of the industrial general conditions in Germany and other EU-countries, examples of good practices for reorganizations and to consider measures and factors of success critically. Methodically this happens with the study of relevant literature and with qualitative expert interviews which are discussed critically in the framework of focus groups and which are questioned regarding to their fitness as a blueprint for future reorganizations. The results of this project should contribute to a creation of a ‘Transnational Guideline on Collective Preparation Mechanisms’.
