Young people in SGB II families - life situations, needs and services at municipal level in times of crisis.
The planned research project focuses on young people aged 14 to 18 in families receiving long-term benefits. The aim is to investigate the extent to which their particular circumstances are perceived at local authority level and taken into account in help and support structures and the day-to-day practice of agencies and institutions. The aim is to find out what services are offered in response to the specific lifeworld challenges of this target group and to what extent they succeed in meeting their needs and requirements. The aim is to identify the challenges and factors that contribute to the success of services and help and support structures. These form the necessary basis for the further development of practice, which is a central goal of the research project. The result should be a guide for institutions and providers at local authority level for the further development of services and help and support structures for young people in families with long-term benefits.
The research project is being carried out cooperatively by the Institute for Applied Economic Research in Tübingen and Munich University of Applied Sciences. The study design is qualitative and includes expert interviews with actors at municipal level and a future workshop with marginalized young people
