Potential, risk and perspective for the business location Tuttlingen
The study aims to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the current economic situation, as well as the future chances and risks for the district Tuttlingen.
The agenda consists of four parts: (1) an analysis of the endogenous factors in the development of the region under study, (2) the analysis of relevant exogenous trends, or rather changes, while especially considering their connection and interdependence with the endogenous factors, as well as (3) developing and illustrating the regional development perspectives. The fourth part will be concerned with the coverage and communication of the results, while making sure that the results will have a lasting effect on the regional decision makers (including those within the companies).
The object of investigation and the design of the study require a complex and differentiated information base, mostly due to two reasons: First, as the unit of investigation is relatively small, official data is only partly available or accessible, therefore additionally own surveys have to be conducted. Second, the analysis of trends and future perspectives requires the inclusion of expertise through qualitative methods, as well as the mutual validation of different sources and databases.
