Short CV
Peter Eppinger is a Post-Doctoral Researcher (Akademischer Rat) at the University of Tübingen, where he obtained his PhD in Economics in 2018. He is an IAW Research Fellow since 2020 and was employed at the IAW from 2012 to 2014. He studied at the University of Munich (LMU, M.Sc. in Economics) and at the University of Tübingen (B.Sc. in International Economics).
The focus of his research is on international trade and multinational enterprises. Currently he is working with the IAW team in the project 'Improving Methods for Policy Analysis of Foreign Trade and Investment'. His research has been published in the Journal of International Economics, Economics Letters and The World Economy.
His dissertation won the nationwide competition for the Forschungspreis Soziale Marktwirtschaft (1st prize) by the Roman Herzog Institute and the dissertation award by the RWT Group at the University of Tübingen. He holds an Add-on Fellowship in Interdisciplinary Economics by the Joachim Herz Foundation and is a member of the German Economic Association.
