Master of Laws, studied Social Work (B.A.) in Frankfurt am Main and Social Law and Social Economy (LL.M.) at the University of Kassel. She then worked there as a research assistant in the FIS-funded junior research group "Social Jurisdiction and the Development of Social Law and Social Policy in the Federal Republic of Germany".

Since July 2024, Alice Dillbahner has been part of the "Netzwerk Bessere Rechtsetzung und Bürokratieabbau" office at the IAW. As part of her doctorate, she is working on legal protection procedures in social security using the example of administrative justice in the UK.
